How we earn money

InternetGermany.de is a comparison and information site. It is not an internet provider and it does not sell a connection.

Some providers may pay a commission if you continue to their site through an affiliate link. That commission is paid by the provider. It does not change the published prices, contract length or advertised speed, and it does not change the price sort.

Affiliate links are stored separately from the price feed. If a plan has no tracking URL, the button opens the provider’s official page.

congstar Home and Homespot buttons use Awin tracking URLs for the matching tariff. Phone, prepaid and mobile-plan rows from that feed are not used. Other providers still open their official pages until a tracking URL is on file.

Vodafone internet in Germany

If you are considering Vodafone for your current or future home, first check whether cable, DSL or both are offered at the exact address. Vodafone internet in Germany includes unlimited cable and DSL plans, with selected tariffs increasing in price from month 10. We reviewed Vodafone’s published residential plans and found mostly 24-month contracts, one 12-month cable option, a €49.99 activation fee and no router included in the base prices.

Choosing Vodafone for your address

Your address is the starting point because Vodafone cable and Vodafone DSL do not have identical availability. Run the address check before comparing headline speeds or promotional prices, especially if you are arranging service before moving into a new home.

If both technologies are offered, compare the available speed, the price across the whole initial term and the connection already present in the property. Vodafone’s cable range reaches higher advertised download speeds, while DSL may be the relevant option where no suitable cable connection is offered. Vodafone connection types and plans

  • GigaZuhause 50 Cable 12 M: 50/25 Mbit/s for €44.99 per month on a 12-month term.

Vodafone DSL plans

  • GigaZuhause 16 DSL: 16 Mbit/s download for €34.99 per month on a 24-month term.
  • GigaZuhause 50 DSL: 50 Mbit/s download for €29.99 per month on a 24-month term.
  • GigaZuhause 100 DSL: 100 Mbit/s download for €44.99 per month on a 24-month term.
  • GigaZuhause 250 DSL: 250/40 Mbit/s for €19.99 per month, then €49.99 from month 10, with a 24-month term.

All four DSL plans have unlimited data, a German landline and a €49.99 activation fee. Confirm the upload rate for the 16, 50 and 100 DSL tiers directly with Vodafone.

What our review found about prices and setup

The clearest pricing pattern is the introductory offer used by five cable tiers and GigaZuhause 250 DSL. These start at €19.99 per month and move to a higher monthly price from month 10. Compare the cost over the full contract rather than choosing solely by the opening rate.

Every reviewed plan carries a €49.99 activation fee. All include unlimited data and a German landline, but the router is not included in the base price. The CableMax 1000, both 50 Cable tariffs and three lower-speed DSL plans have a published monthly figure without a later price listed.

Contracts and flexibility

Most Vodafone internet packages in Germany have a 24-month term. The exception is GigaZuhause 50 Cable 12 M, which has a 12-month term at €44.99 per month. Its shorter commitment should be weighed against the €29.99 monthly price of the 24-month GigaZuhause 50 Cable Flat.

Before signing, check the cancellation deadline and what happens after the initial term. If even 12 months is too restrictive, read our guide to internet without a long contract in Germany.

Address check, router and installation

Enter the complete installation address with the correct postcode, house number and, where requested, flat details. The result should tell you whether Vodafone cable or DSL can be ordered and which speed is available there. Do not assume that an offer at a nearby building applies to your home.

A router is not included in the stated base prices, so check the available device, its recurring or one-off cost and whether you may use compatible equipment of your own. Also ask whether the property has the required connection and whether installation work or an appointment is needed. The listed activation fee is €49.99 for every plan.

How the Vodafone technologies differ

Vodafone cable uses the property’s cable network, while DSL runs through the telephone-line connection. Wi-Fi is created by the router inside your home; it is not a separate access technology. This is why searches for Vodafone Wi-Fi plans in Germany usually lead to a choice between cable and DSL service.

The cable plans range from 50/25 to 1000/75 Mbit/s. The DSL range runs from 16 Mbit/s download to 250/40 Mbit/s, although upload figures should be confirmed for three DSL tiers. Learn more about cable internet and DSL internet before deciding between two address-qualified offers.

What to confirm before you order

Check the order summary rather than relying only on the advertised opening price. It should match the plan name, qualified speed, contract term, activation fee and any price change from month 10.

  • Confirm whether cable, DSL or both are available at the exact address.
  • Check the full-term monthly cost and cancellation conditions.
  • Confirm the router model, price and delivery arrangements.
  • Ask whether installation work or an appointment is required.
  • Verify the included German landline details and any optional extras.

If you are moving from abroad, our guide to internet for expats in Germany explains the wider ordering process.
